Jing Ren Assistant professor, University of Montreal

I am currently an assistant professor at the Université de Montréal, Canada. Previously, I was a senior researcher in the Interactive Geometry Lab at ETH Zurich, advised by Prof. Olga Sorkine-Hornung. I obtained my Ph.D. from the Visual Computing Center at KAUST, advised by Prof. Peter Wonka and Prof. Maks Ovsjanikov, an M.Sc. from the University of Oxford, and a B.Sc. from Zhejiang University. My research focuses on shape analysis, geometry processing, and digital fabrication, with broader interests in computer graphics and computer vision. I feel fortunate to have received the Eurographics Young Researcher Award 2026.

Openings: I am always looking for curious and motivated graduate students to join my group :) If my research sounds fun to you, please feel free to reach out by email with your academic CV and a brief summary of your research interests.
